Tasty Tuesday: Fish Treat

These fish snacks are a delicious and nutritious treat for people. It contains protein and flavor that is good for health. These are easy to make and can be eaten as it is, or with a side salad.

Ingredients:

2 fresh fish fillets (salmon, trout, cod etc.)

2 tablespoons of olive oil

Salt and pepper as per taste

1 lemon thinly sliced

Optional: Fresh herbs like dill or parsley for garnishing

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Place the fish fillets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or aluminium foil.

Drizzle olive oil over them, and season with salt and pepper.

Arrange lemon slices on top of the fish.

Bake it in a preheated oven for 12-15 minutes until cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

Take it out from the oven when done; let it cool down a little bit before serving.

Garnish with fresh herbs if desired; serve warm!

Fish Treat can be served for Pet Turtles as well.

This fish treat is specially designed keeping in mind about pet turtles. They contain essential nutrients required by them along with flavors they love. It’s also an additional nutrition source in their diet which can be given occasionally so that they stay healthy and happy always.

Ingredients:

1 small whole fish (sardine, mackerel, herring)

1/4 cup chopped leafy greens (spinach, kale, lettuce etc.)

1/4 cup chopped vegetables (carrots, cucumbers, bell peppers etc.)

1 tablespoon calcium supplement powder (available at pets stores)

Water (enough to cover the fish)

Instructions:

Clean the fish thoroughly by removing scales and guts.

Cut it into small pieces; ensure all bones are removed too!

Boil some water in a saucepan; add these pieces to boiling water & cook them for around 3-5 minutes till the fish gets completely cooked.

Take out from the water and allow cooling down slightly.

Combine chopped leafy greens, vegetables, and calcium supplement powder in another bowl; mix well.

Add cooked fish into the same bowl; again, combine all ingredients properly.

Let the mixture cool at room temperature before feeding it to your turtle pet.

Offer this treat in small portions so they finish eating within a reasonable time frame, preventing spoilage.
