Here’s a simple recipe to make Bird-Friendly Fruit Skewers:

Ingredients:

Fresh fruits, including strawberries, blueberries, grapes, apple slices, orange segments, pineapple pieces, and banana slices.
Bamboo skewers and twigs

Instructions

Wash and slice the fruits into bite-sized pieces. Make sure they’re small enough to readily thread onto the skewers.

Take bamboo skewers or small twigs and thread the fruit pieces on them in an alternating manner. You can mix and match fruits based on your preferences and what is available seasonally.

Make a small space at the top of each skewer or twig to make it easy to hang.

Once all of the fruit skewers have been assembled, choose an appropriate spot in your yard or outside space to hang them. Choose a location where birds are commonly seen, such as near bird feeders or in a tree.

Hang the fruit skewers securely with string or twine. Ensure that they are at a height where birds may readily get them while being out of reach of predators such as cats.

Monitor the fruit skewers on a frequent basis and replace them with fresh fruit as needed. Over time, you may witness a variety of bird species eating this natural delicacy in your garden.

Bird-Friendly Fruit Skewers not only feed birds but also decorate your outside environment. Enjoy seeing the birds flock to these delightful snacks while knowing you’re helping to improve their health.
